Silly distraction game! What do you wanna do today?

I open my eyes to gloomy skies. My head feels like a dumbbell, and I sure as heck know I ain’t the type of person to ever go to gym. I push myself up, the thin stands of grass against my fingertips. Wait… grass?!

I look around way too quickly because there’s absolutely NO WAY that I could possibly be outside… because… actually yeah there is a SLIGHT possibility that I would wake up outside but it is still quite bizarre…

After gathering the strength to get up, I realize I’m on the property of some… mansion? What is happening… I turn around to the gate, which seems to be locked. Actually it’s definitely locked. I shake the sturdy wood violently though it doesn’t even budge. Not even a single boogie. I sigh, a small ghost of my breath appearing before me. I guess… I have to just… I turn towards the mansion and its massive doors awaiting me.

The door’s rims are chipped, a couple of vines wrapped around its hinges. The windows are smudged with some icky grey substance which makes them almost opaque. The murky wood hovers over you like a disappointed parent. I reach towards the doorknob, its rusty metal scrapping against my palm. Open it. Just… open it. Something feels off though…

The mansion doesn’t seem to have anything out of place other than the sign that states “THE MANSION OF IMPRISON”. There doesn’t seem to be any other place to go… I guess… I’ll head in…

I trace my fingers across the crevices wooden entrance. The door opens with a screech that echoes throughout the abyss. The void seems to hold a welcoming hand out, but I have an uneasy feeling about this… The second I step into the house, the door slams shut behind. I whirl around but as expected, it’s locked. You know? Just my luck. It’s fine… It’s fine! Ill just wander around in this darkness… the average thing someone my age should be doing… not literally… urgh maybe I should just… lay down…

Suddenly, the lights flicker on. Dust falls from the ceiling like evil snowflakes ready to suffocate me. A long hallway stretches from my left to my right, ready to drag me into a nightmare just as endless. Okay, maybe I am being a liiittle dramatic, but I seriously don’t want to walk right now… I should’ve just stayed outside… I think I’d really rather be outside…

sssSSssSSssS. What? sSSSssSSsS. I turn to my right, the hissing noise echoing throughout the empty looking hallways. Heck no. I am NOT going towards that hissing. Ain’t no way… Nope nope nope. This is quite absurd. So absurd that maybe… NOPE! I will not go there… Unless…

I find myself in a kitchen, though the noise doesn't seem to stop… Do I really have to go there? All that walking for no reason… I sigh but ultimately head back.

The floorboards screech with every step. There goes operation stealth. Though I feel that if there was some odd supernatural being here it would know my location anyways… Then the hissing stops.Creeeeeeeak…

I whirl my head towards the sudden noise. A broken down looking door slowly moves slightly ajar. I freeze, the distant howls of the wind the only sound remaining that at least I could hear.

MEEP MOOP

Let me have a minute.

A pair of glowing white eyes float in the abyss of the room. I stumble backwards as they head slowly towards me. They let out a hiss before stepping out into the light.

Meow?…. Cats. Two cats. They stare at me with curiosity. I take a step back as they approach.
